From Calvinism to Lutheranism, follow Grammy-nominated hip-hop artist FLAME’s journey as he trusted God’s leading hand to guide him to the true faith. In this spiritual autobiography, you can see how FLAME grappled with his own faith and worked to understand the Word of God, His plans, and theology. It is our pleasure to serve you, and we could not be more grateful for your support. In 1990, Mr. Schultz married Susan Wischmeier, a Lutheran school teacher, who grew up on her family’s farm outside of Columbus, Indiana. The Lord has blessed them with three children, Thomas (and wife, Allison), Mollie, and Abigail. Prior to arriving at CPH in 1998, he and his wife served as volunteer missionaries in Guatemala for The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

Piano Prelude Series Volume 11
This deeply personal account gives you a glimpse inside his music career, faith journey, and lyricism. See the theology behind his latest songs as he praises God and shares the Gospel truth with each new hit. After a century and a half, Concordia Publishing House's mission hasn't changed—developing products that are faithful to God's Word. Jonathan D. Schultz was born in Harvard, Illinois, as the third of five children of the Rev. Donald and Mary Schultz. Much of his childhood was spent living in rural Altamont, IL, where his father was pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church (Blue Point). His high school years were spent in Red Bud, Illinois, after his father was called to serve at St. John’s Lutheran Church there.
Around 2004, CPH leadership decided to publish more of Luther's works, conceiving a plan for 20 additional volumes that was approved by the CPH board of directors in 2006. Recognized as one of the strongest state-level quality award programs in the country, the Missouri Quality Award is the official state recognition for excellence in quality leadership. Study the book of Isaiah with commentary that combs through the theology, translation, original Hebrew, and historical context surrounding this prophet. Unravel God’s Word and see what He teaches through His chosen people about judgment, forgiveness, and the prophesied new David, Jesus Christ. At Concordia Publishing House, we are dedicated to our mission of serving and strengthening the people of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod.

Today, our company thrives as a nationally recognized publishing company that offers churches, schools, and individuals more than 10,000 products and services. And while we continue to grow from our humble beginnings 150 years ago, our mission remains the same. This should be a critical factor for all individuals in comparing CPH products with those of other publishers, none of whom can offer the same assurance that is offered by CPH. The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod has a process by which all materials published by its national entities are reviewed in order to certify that the content is faithful to the Holy Scriptures and the Lutheran Confessions. As the publishing arm of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Concordia Publishing House is required to submit its materials to the Synod's doctrinal review process.
Each daily devotion includes a Bible reading, meditation and prayer to apply to your daily life, published in multiple sizes and formats – pocket-size, large-print, digest-size and e-books – most convenient and usable for you. During the production process at CPH, a manuscript is sent to a reviewer who remains anonymous to those involved in the writing and editing of the material. The reviewer is given a defined timeframe to complete the review and return the manuscript to Concordia Publishing House, with an indication of any changes that need to be made prior to publishing the material. All material published has successfully passed the final step of a careful review that begins with the work done by the editorial staff at Concordia Publishing House and ends with final certification by the Synod's doctrinal review process. The President of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod has the responsibility for appointing doctrinal reviewers every three years.
